Arab Bank is the Exclusive Gold Sponsor of Injaz’s Job Shadow Program

Arab Bank sponsors Injaz’s Job Shadow Program (JSP) as the exclusive gold sponsor, in line with its continuous commitment to support the education sector. The sponsorship enabled 20 students from several public schools to visit six branches of the Bank to learn about the academic and financial sector, as they obtained firsthand insight on practical work life and what it requires in terms of skills and expertise necessary.
Students enrolled in the program spent an entire day at Arab Bank, shadowing specialized personnel and learning more about the different roles of various departments inside the branches.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Mr. Tareq Haj Hasan, Senior Vice President – Head of Branding at Arab Bank stated, “Arab Bank’s exclusive sponsorship of Injaz’s Job Shadow Program is part of our corporate social responsibility program ‘Together’, which aims at supporting the local community and contributing to its development by focusing on several areas, most notably education.
He further added, “The Bank’s sponsorship of the program revolves around reinforcing students’ love for learning and knowledge through on-site practical teachings that will assist in developing their skills and broadening their horizons, while motivating them to pursue their professional career choices in the future.”
On his part, Mr. Tareq Hyari, Operations Director at Injaz stated, “The ‘Job Shadow Program’ aims at motivating students to learn about various professions through on-site work trips, which provide enriching educational experiences that shed light on work requirements and assist students in preparing for their future.”
He added that the program further aims at creating a relationship between the students and the workplace, whereby students act as employees in collaboration with a group of volunteer staff that assist them to discover and learn what is new in the work environment. Additionally, it fosters the exchange of experiences between students and staff as the students discover the business world while being inspired to continue learning in order to achieve their ambitions and ensure a bright future for themselves.
He stressed that the program, which witnessed the participation of ten students from Thouqan Al Hindawi Primary School for Boys and ten students from Khalda High School, is in line with Arab Bank and Injaz’s frameworks to support youth and education.
Thanking Arab Bank and Injaz for this unique program, student Violet Duwairi said, “It was a special day that I wished would never end, as I learned a great deal from the staff and the managers.” She added, “I hope that other students can also experience such a program in order for them to gain exposure and insight to banking”
Hamzeh Al Masri, another participating student of the program said that he gained an excellent experience that entailed learning more about banking processes. Furthermore, he added that this experience has motivated him to study accounting or banking and finance in the future.
